Kathmandu - Monkey Temple

The Monkey Temple is an ancient Buddhist complex located atop a hill in the Kathmandu Valley. The Stupa has eyes and eye-brows which represents wisdom and compassion. The complex is occupied by holy monkeys, thus referred to as the Monkey Temple.

We arrived at the temple in the early morning in time to see a beautiful sunrise coming up over Kathmandu

Part of the trekking group visiting the complex - Phil, Angela, Mike, Pat, Leo, Mick, and Jack

The main entrance with 365 steps to the top are adorned with stupas and statues of Buddha
