Tioga Pass Road - Part 3

I left Yosemite Valley and drove over the Sierra crest on Tioga Road (Hwy 120) to Lee Vining on Hwy 395. Tioga Road is the highest paved through road in CA and passes through the northern section of Yosemite National Park. The summit elevation of Tioga Pass is 9,945'.
Snow was encountered above 8,000'.

Back-side of Half Dome (above and below)

Click on pic twice . . . can you see the hikers?

Hey Jimbob . . . here's a way to carry a bike on your bike

Great views of Lake Tenaya (above and below)

The higher mountains still had plenty of snow . . . and it's July!

View of Lake Tioga (9,000') and Tioga Peak (11,526')

My red Prius at Tioga Pass Summit is a fantastic road trip car. . . and got 50 mpg on this 750 mile trip
